THE BEST HALLOWEEN COSTUME SHOPS IN LONDON-SVEN JOURNAL
The Best Halloween Costume Shops In London
I might have a slight obsession with Halloween. I love it so much!! Halloween is my absolute favorite occasion to celebrate and since last year i got sick right before THE party Of Halloween, this year i am going to use the great idea i had planned last Halloween and left unused, hopefully i can do a makeup worth of the costume i have in mind. Enough with my rambling already! As i was saying i love Halloween so much, that i am always reading spooky themed articles and anything that can spark new inspiration. Also when the word costume is thrown in the mix i am practically sold from the start. If it were up to me, and me only, i would dress up as if it were Halloween pretty much every day. I AM NOT KIDDING. Therefore when i stumped upon an article about costume shops in London i just had to share it with you peeps, because sharing is caring for real. The list down below doesn't mean a first, second, etc place, they all seem equally amazing, although i have to say i am particularly enamoured of Pransgta!
- Only Fools And Peacocks
This costume shop counts a basement, in which they host themed parties, photoshoots and where people is free to browse through the racks filled with majestic clothes and accessories; a Garden in which you can enjoy the quiet and the coffee you can get at their own coffee shop. Yes this consume shop also has a Coffee shop inside(give me all the coffeeee)! And with all of these services you may as well spend the entire day at Only Fools And Peacocks!
120 Stroke Newington High St, London, N16 7NY
Circus outfits? 18th Century outfits? I am already there! Seriously this gets me really excited and so should you. Prangsta creates unique outfits so there is absolutely no chance you’ll ever run into someone with your same costume. This Costume shop also offers courses in which you can learn how to make your own creations and costumes! If i were homebased in London i would certainly do it. Also Prangsta can be hired to theme your entire party all year round! This is really impressive.

- Angels The oldest Costume Shop in London, the largest Costume shop supplier in the U.K. Need i say more?
119 Shaftesbury Ave, London WC2H 8AE
- Mad World Fancy Dress and Costume Hire
This Costume shop's theory is: who do you want to be today? And they will help you find the best costume possible suiting your mood of the day, in fact their costumes are divided in simple, yet effective sections of the likes: 18th century, Sci-fi, Military, etc. Different locations throughout London: 69-85 Tabernacle St, London EC2A 4BD; Charing Cross, 441 The Strand, WC2N 4HZ, and a Gatwick Superstore!
- Beyond Retro
This is a Proper vintage store that sets itself aside from the rest of the shops in this list because of their year round collection of great vintage pieces which, with enough creativity, can be turned into Halloween costumes in their own. For the festivity Beyond Retro goes all out with very original costumes. Beyond Retro counts locations in Cheshire Street, Soho and Dalston. This establishment counts costume sections for Halloween even on their website where they can deliver you Halloween costume even internationally. To be fair Beyond Retro deserves attention all year round for their incredible selection of proper vintage clothes. It is a real dream of a store. It counts three locations (in London alone) and counting as it is even expanding to Sweden!
110 Cheshire St, London, E2 6Ej 92 Stroke Newington Rd ( near Only Fools and Peacocks) 58 Great Marlborough St
I cannot wait to go back to London for the 1736368th time and check them all out and write and in-depth review of them all, like i did for the best vintage stores i found this year in Paris(here, here, here). And in my experience when a shop has multiple locations you really have to check them all out because you can really find a gem at the second or third location even if you didn't find anything at the first. Trust me on this!
