JORD Wood Watches, My New Favorite Timepiece
I am a fussy person when it comes to accessories. My motto is: if it's pretty but gets in my way, I will not wear it nor use it. Ever. And this reflection brings me to the only concern I had about the Jord wood watches.
I have been familiar with the Jord wood watches for quite some time now. The idea of a watch made of wood was intriguing and the designs are certainly beautiful. Some watches even have a spectacularly innovative design. I am winking at you, male designs.
BUT would they be comfortable? Would a watch made of wood, ACTUALLY feel comfortable and with a decent enough weight to wear it all day with no discomfort?
Short and sweet answer: Yes, yes, YES. It is so lightweight that you forget you are wearing it, which is incredible. And before i get into more details, let's get rid of the elephant in the room: a watch made of wood and water? You will not go diving in the ocean with it, but you're safe for day to day tasks because it's splash proof. Also the glass case is made of Sapphire Crystal Glass ergo It's pretty sturdy. So now that that's out of the way!
Jord wooden watches are truly one of a kind pieces with a very luxurious feel. Among their vast selection, i chose myself the Frankie model in Zebrawood & Navy. I very much feel in love with the strong contrast between the deep navy and the silver clock hands and logo on the inside. On the side of the case, the logo is engraved in a very subtle and classy fashion.
The Jord wooden watches turned out to be far more versatile than expected and from the crazy amount of questions and compliments I have received for my ( already beloved) Frankie, I expect we will all see more of them around very soon.
( And Yes, this baby has already come with me to Rome for the first travel of 2017.)
